Amendment to Bylaws Passes that Makes Article XVI the Sole Authority on Member Removal and Dismissal Procedures

Article VIII: Judicial Committee

Section IV: Absence

1.    Any member who accumulates three unexcused absences during an Academic year will be dismissed from the Student Government.  An absence is excused if a motion is placed by the absent member to excuse it, explaining the reasons for absence, and it is voted on by majority. [26][28]


Article XVI – REMOVAL FROM STUDENT GOVERNMENT

Sections II: Grounds for dismissal from the Student Government may include:

●     Repeated failure to fulfill the responsibilities set forth in this Constitution.

●     Administrative suspension, multiple detentions, or repeated infractions of established school rules.

●     Failure to maintain a cumulative 2.5 G.P.A. or an acceptable attendance record.

●     Any behavior that would compromise the high standard of the STUDENT GOVERNMENT or the reputation of My HES Academy Public School.

●     Failure to attend two consecutive meetings without presenting a written statement that must be approved by the legislative assembly.[17]

●     Failure to report to Detention or In-School Suspension.

●     Both repeated and or serious violations of the established STUDENT GOVERNMENT Honor Code or serious violations of an established rule.
