We’re thrilled to announce a brand-new training opportunity, brought to life with the amazing support of Professor Dr. Hani Bawardi from the History Department at the University of Michigan Dearborn and the leadership of Dr. Wessam Elmeligi at the Center for Arab American Studies.
This field trip is designed to help you explore Integrating Identities—a chance to reflect on who you are, embrace all parts of yourself, and learn how to balance the many roles and expectations in your life.
Here’s what your day will look like:
The Schedule
10:45 AM – 11:30 AM:
Tour of Campus
Start your adventure with a walking tour of the University Center. Be sure to dress warmly as we’ll explore the outdoors!
11:30 AM – 1:00 PM:
Archival Display Tour + Talk with Dr. Hani Bawardi
Dive into a fascinating look at history with an archival display, followed by an engaging talk and discussion with Professor Bawardi.
1:00 PM – 1:30 PM:
Lunch Break
Recharge with lunch before our next activity.
1:30 PM – 2:30 PM:
Hike
Enjoy a refreshing hike and reflect on what you’ve learned during the day.
2:45 PM:
Return to School
We’ll head back on the bus and arrive between 3:00 and 3:10 PM.
