Good Afternoon Dear SIA Student Government Members
The field trip to HES Support Center Friday February 28, 2020 has been changed to Field trip to University of Michigan Dearborn with the same time and date. There is a special exhibit that I wanted Student Government to visit titled Halal Metropolis about the history of Arab Americans in the Dearborn/Detroit area. We will have a guided tour and you will get to know some of the work of the Center of Arab American Studies in the university. Within this journey, you will learn the importance of artifacts, writing, preserving history, publishing, photography, and documentation of events, and personal narratives.
Field Trip permission slips have been sent to Mr. Abdallah, and Ms. President who will print them and place them in your mail boxes, and I am attaching it here for your convenience. Please submit to Mr. Abdallah by Monday February 24, 2020 for consideration to be included in the trip. It will be first come first serve.
